My paintings of girls with big eyes reflect complex emotional states with a child-like wonder.  They speak of the power of observation through sight and touch.  I paint them as a celebration of the unity of body and mind, something which children instinctively know and put to good use through their play. I am inspired by child's play, by Lewis Carroll's Wonderland, by cartoons and graphic arts, by the interplay of colors, the seduction of a curve, and by  the awesome experience of being a part of the natural world.
